When Firefox doesn't start (WinXP)

Author: For my own reference. Because there are surprisingly few qref pages out there that talk like I think. Feel free to ignore. :)
| Silently refuses to start (but process starts) | Terminate. Delete extensions.ini, extensions.cache and extensions.rdf from profile (are regenerated at startup) |
| Profile locked errors | Terminate process, find and zap parent.lock in profile directory |
| Other weird errors or on Vista MacOS etc | |
