Author: Orbit UK has announced The Company by KJ Parker, which is for once a stand-alone book rather than part of a trilogy.
DO WANT DO WANT DO WANT. But I still have to finish the Ziani Vaatzes trilogy. I need to reread both the first two and long books are loooong and I'm still researching my pirates anyway.
They also promise a Q&A with Iain M Banks – which is fantastic. That and parts one and two are well worth a read, especially for politically-minded worldbuilders. (edited, site no longer down)
