I agree - 3&K was definitely the peak. "Sonic 4" (the recent thing) is *ok*, but basically an HD remake of some old levels from 1 & 2, and the physics is weird. I thought Sonic Advance 1 on the GBA came the closest to recapturing the spirit of the original games. Also, have you played Generations? It's surprisingly good.

Hear hear. I completely agree with every point. So much so that I really have little to add that will do more than repeat one of the points you've already made.

There is far too much duplication on the BBC website: I very much hope that some of the BBC staff who have recently been writing excellent blogs around the subject of usability/site construction (I've seen excellent blog posts on the BBC website by people like Michael Smethurst and Mo McRoberts) will read this post, as I'm certain they'll find it interesting.

Hi,
I am the author of the above offering. Many thanks for the review. The book did ok but my publisher went to the wall a couple of years ago. I now publish my books on Kindle. Would it be possible for me to quote extracts of your review on my publicity, or (better still) would you upload your review to Amazon? (I agree about the hideous cover - not my idea - I have cropped out the 'dog' pic for the Kindle edition! My next project but one is another Kettle Chronicle, with some of the same characters, but based in North Norfolk (where I am now based) and concerning imps, will o' the wisps and green children.
Many thanks again for the review.

Stephen Morgan
Many thanks again

Robert Vavra (horse photographer) published a book called "Unicorns I Have Known" with some incredible horse shots that are staged, rather than photoshopped. Some of his horse models are reminiscent of your photo above. Gallery here:

Vavra's stock horses in general might provide some nice reference pics for your beleaguered son of privilege (precious parents - curse them!)

That's interesting! I always imagined Suitov looking something like this:

http://menwithlonghair.blogspot.com/2006/08/jonathan-rhys-meyers.html

And Weft looking something like Martin Freeman.

Oh and, to me, the guy in the picture is all boy. Nothing androgynous about him at all.
