Monky business

Monday, 16 April 2007, 12:56

These monks are kicking my metaphysical metaphorical arse again. (I'd mind more if they weren't so darn pretty while doing it.)

New brief story ideas for my little order of psychotic city kittens keep popping up, and I'm being a good old salt and saving them all for when I haven't got more important things monopolising my time. I wrote one a while back, which turned out rather pleasingly violent, and had always intended to add a few more to show off what some of the other monk ranks do.

This latest idea is the most involved yet. It draws in everything from city politics that I have no idea about yet, via people's popular conception of souls and deciding exactly how the criminal justice system is organised (about which I do, luckily, already have some idea), to having to write some serious tormented emotions (ack!). I'll have to work my way up via some of the less background-heavy plot seeds, I think, or I'll scare myself.

(edit, much later:) Who's a nice cute innocuous monk, then?

Hmmmm. Their policy is still "don't be evil", right?

Okay, much as I think the Tories are scum, this government needs to go.

If you're white you have learning difficulties; if you're black you're just naughty.

Termites are cockroaches! Wewt!

I still bristle at being considered a 'community'. :p
