The right sort of dislike
Friday, 20 April 2007, 22:26Well, I think a persistently no-name character finally let me name her. Hello... Frerene? Frerena? Something like that.
(As I said to Anke, "She didn't like anything I suggested.
And she's not supposed to like it, mind you, but she says it was the wrong sort of dislike."
But I think I've hit upon the right sort of dislike, or she's sick of waiting.)
Now yay for the story where I planned to début her (after a fashion...) being busted probably never to be revived. :(
That doesn't matter, though, because - well, firstly, while I'd planned for Frerene to get a walk-on appearance in that story, it really would have been brief and only one other writer would have been likely to care. :D And secondly, it's of no consequence to her real storyline, which is one that I guess can't be messed up too much by other writers losing interest.
So I don't mind in this case. Still, it always seems to be the way. When I plan lots of cool stuff for a storyboard instead of thinking "eh, I'll go with the flow", that's when antelope apathy strikes...
...And it frustrates me. Much as I generally pretend it doesn't.
